Robots and Donuts fill the elegant scapes of Eric Joyner's familiar yet other worldly scenes. Though his paintings display his academic training, the use of japanese tin robots as a source of inspiration infuse seemingly traditional scenes with drama and irony. Eric Joyner successfully balances the playful with the serious while painting images in a style he loves to paint. Having the honor of being featured multiple times on the cover of the yearly Spectrum art publication, Eric Joyner's art sets the tone and precedent for low brow contemporary painters and any painter touching the issue of robots. Joyner produces a range of art pieces from original paintings on panel, to limited edition giclee prints, to digital poster reproductions. He currently lives and works out of San Francisco, CA.
